I would like to advise the hiring managers to be using the five initial assessment methods that were discussed by Judge, Heneman and Kammeyer-Mauller. It can be said that the authors tried to recommend the resumes, biographical information, interviews, applicant blanks and reference reports. Resumes can be considered as a common selection method for basically hiring managers but they are seen to be misleading as they have seen to have very little reliability or validity.
